Chimney Beach on Lake Tahoe's east shore. A favorite among locals, this small section of beach is at the perfect pitch to highlight the turquoise-to-blue trademark look of the lake. Mid spring means lots of snow on the distant west shore as well as a quiet vibe without boats, jet skies, and the like. Just you and the loons, ducks, and occasional bald eagle.
